Coronavirus: Covid-19 Update

Updated May 29, 2020

We want to reassure you that AurGroup Credit Union is here for you. Our priority is the safety and well-being of our members, employees, and communities. We can continue to serve your needs, just perhaps at a distance or with a little creativity.

We are here for you - Always

During this unprecedented time, AurGroup Credit Union is here for you. Our priority is the safety and well-being of our members, employees, and communities. We continue to plan and implement procedures to ensure quality service and access for our members while protecting the health of our employees and communities.

Reopening Lobbies

We have remained open during this time with expanded transaction offerings in our drive-thru lanes. After careful planning and taking into consideration Governor DeWine’s Responsible Restart Ohio plan and the health and safety of our employees, members, and guests, AurGroup is preparing to reopen most of its lobbies.

AurGroup will be reopen its Fairfield lobby for basic teller transactions (e.g. deposits, payments, cashier’s checks, etc.) on June 1. All other services, including meeting with a Member Service Consultant, should be done by appointment. Requests for these services may be honored without an appointment, based on lobby traffic and capacity.

On June 8, we will reopen our Fairfield Township and West Hamilton locations under the same service style. Basic teller transactions (e.g. deposits, payments, cashier’s checks, etc.). All other services, including meeting with a Member Service Consultant, should be done by appointment. Requests for these services may be honored without an appointment, based on lobby traffic and capacity.

Our West Chester location will remain drive-thru only for now.

We STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to continue to use our drive-thru lanes, ATMs and other digital services like mobile banking rather than coming to visit us.

Changes When Lobbies Open

When our lobbies reopen, we will have new safety protocols in place as recommended by local and state health agencies.

Social Distancing: visitors must follow Social Distancing Guidelines. Decals will be located on the floor to serve as a guide.

Capacity: we will monitor lobby capacity and limit the number of people permitted in our facilities. This will be particularly noticeable at our West Hamilton location which has a small lobby. No more than 6 people can be in that lobby at one time. Please help us by following posted signs and social distancing guidelines.

Additionally, no more than 2 individuals can meet in an office setting, such as with a Member Service Consultant, for a loan or new account.

Face Coverings: AurGroup employees, working with the public, will be wearing face coverings. We respectfully encourage our members and guests to also wear a face covering. We are not requiring it, but strongly encouraging it. Members may be asked to lower their mask briefly for identification purposes.

Wellness: if you are sick or have been exposed to anyone who is sick, PLEASE do not come into our offices. Please call us or visit our drive-thru lanes.

Operation Hours: we will have a strict sanitizing schedule which includes closing our lobbies 30 minutes early, each weekday, in order to sanitize and clean all public areas. The drive-thru lanes will maintain normal hours.

Coffee Service: we have suspended lobby coffee and beverage services. Water fountains are available as needed. Restrooms will not be available to the public.

We will resume other operational processes we previously suspended, such as, on Wednesdays we will go back to opening branches at 10:00 a.m. (phone lines open at 8:30 a.m.), and Shared Branching guests must come into the lobby for transactions versus the drive-thru lanes.

Lookout for Cyber-Crime

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic continues to escalate, cyber criminals are taking advantage of opportunities to steal personal and financial information while people are frightened and most vulnerable. Many of these instances are new versions of common phishing and malware scams, where fraudsters may send legitimate-looking emails with malicious attachments or links to fraudulent websites to trick victims into revealing sensitive information or donating to fraudulent charities or causes. Fraudsters may use phone calls (vishing) and texts (smishing) to try to trick you as well.

How to stay protected:

  • Be on the lookout for phishing emails that at first glance appear to come from a trusted source.
  • Never click on unknown attachments, links or provide personal identifiable information via an unsecure website.
  • Be wary of offers for Coronavirus testing kits, vaccines or other items that are in short supply.
  • Not all advertisements are created equal. Social media companies, such as Facebook, are cracking down on ads spreading coronavirus rumors, however, some false ads may make it through their filters. It's best to find information on the disease from official sources like the U.S. Center for Disease Control or the World Health Organization.

AurGroup Financial Credit Union will never contact you by phone, text or email asking you to verify personal, account or card information. Unless you have contacted us directly by phone or within online banking, do not give out any personal, account or card information. In addition, the IRS or any other agency will not contact you by phone asking for your personal information. Be Smart.

If you suspect any fraudulent activity, please contact us right away at (513) 942-4422.

As always, we thank you for being a member of AurGroup Credit Union. We also thank you for doing your part to keep yourself and others healthy. We are working hard to balance the safety and health of our employees, members, and communities with the responsibility to provide members access to their money.
