Our Popmoney® personal payment service partner has decided to discontinue the Popmoney service, effective June 30, 2023. This was not an AurGroup decision. The provider is discontinuing the product. As a result, Popmoney will no longer be available to members as of June 30.
What you need to know
- Payments scheduled to be paid on or before 6 pm on June 30 will be processed.
- No new transactions will be processed after 6:00 pm on JUNE 30.
- We recommend canceling recurring or future-dated payments that are scheduled for delivery after JUNE 29. No recurring or future-dated payments will be processed after JUNE 30.
- Recipients who are registered Popmoney users will receive payment automatically. If the recipient is not a registered Popmoney user, they will get a notification through email or text messages with instructions on how to accept the payment. If the payment is not accepted after ten days, funds will be returned to the Sender.
- If you are the recipient of any pending Popmoney payments, please accept or cancel the payments by 6 pm on JUNE 30. Canceling the payment will result in the funds being returned to the sender.
- While you will no longer have access to Popmoney, you may review your Popmoney transactional activity in your AurGroup statement.
Other personal payment options
There are several ways to send money to family, friends and even between your financial institution accounts.
AurGroup: with AurGroup’s online banking or mobile app, you can do a FREE “external transfer” to/from your account at another financial institution. You can also use the free bill payment service to send money to individuals or companies.
Venmo: a popular app that connects to your AurGroup account to allow quick person-to-person payment options*
PayPal: offers person-to-person or merchant payment options*
CashApp: another popular app that is like Venmo*
Remitly: payment app specifically for international transactions*
