The the federal government has begun a third round of stimulus payments. If you have direct deposit information on file with the IRS, from either their 2019 tax filings or their Economic Impact Payment from earlier in 2020, you’ll receive your payment electronically. If you received the previous payment via check, you’ll get a check.

Here’s what you need to know:

PLEASE use digital services to deposit and access your funds
Our locations will be extremely busy over the next few weeks. To avoid long lines and delays, please use digital services to access and deposit your stimulus payments.

  • If you receive your payment by direct deposit, use your ATM or debit card to access your funds instead of visiting a branch. You can also pay bills using Bill Pay through Online or Mobile Banking.
  • If you receive your stimulus payment by check, you can easily and quickly deposit your check at an ATM or by using Mobile Deposit on the AurGroup Mobile App. If you’re an online banking user, you’re ready to go. Just download it from your favorite app store. If not, enroll on our website at www.aurgroup.org.
  • Withdraw cash at one of 30,000 lower-to-no-fee ATMs after normal business hours to avoid lines. Visit aurgroup.org (resources > hours/locations) to find an ATM that’s close to you.

Our priority is the safety and well-being of our members, employees, and communities. We continue to plan and implement procedures to ensure quality service and access for our members while protecting the health of our employees and communities.

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic continues to escalate, cyber criminals are taking advantage of opportunities to steal personal and financial information while people are frightened and most vulnerable. Many of these instances are new versions of common phishing and malware scams, where fraudsters may send legitimate-looking emails with malicious attachments or links to fraudulent websites to trick victims into revealing sensitive information or donating to fraudulent charities or causes. Fraudsters may use phone calls (vishing) and texts (smishing) to try to trick you as well.

How to stay protected:

  • Be on the lookout for phishing emails that at first glance appear to come from a trusted source.
  • Never click on unknown attachments, links or provide personal identifiable information via an unsecure website.
  • Be wary of offers for Coronavirus testing kits, vaccines or other items that are in short supply.
  • Not all advertisements are created equal. Social media companies, such as Facebook, are cracking down on ads spreading coronavirus rumors, however, some false ads may make it through their filters. It's best to find information on the disease from official sources like the U.S. Center for Disease Control or the World Health Organization.

AurGroup Financial Credit Union will never contact you by phone, text or email asking you to verify personal, account or card information. Unless you have contacted us directly by phone or within online banking, do not give out any personal, account or card information. In addition, the IRS or any other agency will not contact you by phone asking for your personal information. Be Smart.

If you suspect any fraudulent activity, please contact us right away at (513) 942-4422.

As always, we thank you for being a member of AurGroup Credit Union. We also thank you for doing your part to keep yourself and others healthy. We are working hard to balance the safety and health of our employees, members, and communities with the responsibility to provide members access to their money.
