2025 Scholarship Opportunity

AurGroup’s service to its members, dedication to building financial success through education, as well as our commitment to social responsibility, are what make a difference in the lives of our members and the communities we serve.

Working together to promote financial literacy and support the communities we serve is the basis for AurGroup’s scholarship program. This program is a way for the credit union to help contribute to the successes of our future leaders, those who see value in education and partnership, and show dedication to their community.

AurGroup will award three scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Each scholarship has its qualification based on post-secondary education plans. A student can apply for just one.

  1. AurGroup Annual Scholarship ($1,000) is for high school seniors/AurGroup members planning to attend an accredited college or university to pursue a 4-year degree in any field of study.

  2. Willard Hopkins Memorial Scholarship ($1,000) is for high school seniors/AurGroup members planning to attend an accredited college or university to pursue a 4-year degree in Education. Willard Hopkins was a long-time Credit Union Board Member, former Fairfield High School Principal, and champion of education.

  3. Skilled Trade Scholarship (two for $500) is for high school seniors (non-members welcome) pursuing an accredited degree or certification for a Skilled Trade through an accredited school or apprentice program.

To be eligible for the AurGroup Annual or Willard Hopkins Scholarships, the graduate must be a current member of AurGroup Financial Credit Union (as of March 1, 2025).

Attn: Scholarship Committee, by May 16, 2025, to be considered. Scholarship winners will be notified on or before June 2, 2025. Scholarships will be awarded on a non-discriminatory basis and upon verification of enrollment in an approved post-high school program and Credit Union membership.
